What we set
EX Info operates a minimal cookie footprint. We do not use analytics cookies. We do not use advertising cookies. We do not embed third-party trackers, social widgets or fingerprinting scripts. The site can be read comfortably with third-party cookies fully disabled at the browser level.
Strictly-necessary cookies
A very small number of strictly-necessary session cookies may be set by our server to support consistent page delivery. These are transient, expire when the browser session ends, and carry no identifiable data beyond a random session token. Under UK cookie rules, strictly-necessary cookies do not require prior consent.
Third-party content
We embed no third-party content. There are no YouTube iframes, no social share widgets, no comment plug-ins and no embedded advertising units on any page of this site. External links, where they appear, open in a new tab and do not carry referral tracking beyond the standard HTTP referer header, which readers can suppress at the browser level if they choose.
Browser controls
All modern browsers allow you to review, block and delete cookies through the browser settings. In Chromium-based browsers this is typically found under Settings, Privacy and Security, Cookies and Other Site Data. In Firefox it is under Preferences, Privacy and Security. In Safari it is under Preferences, Privacy. If you prefer to browse with all cookies blocked, the site will continue to function normally.
Changes to this policy
If our cookie usage changes we will update this page and reflect the change in the last-updated date. Substantial changes will be summarised at the top of the page for at least three months after publication.
Complaints
If you believe our cookie handling does not meet UK requirements, the Information Commissioner's Office is the appropriate regulator. Their contact details are public. As with all data matters we welcome the opportunity to resolve concerns directly first, but you are not required to contact us before approaching the ICO.
